Destination: ‘Bindi, Macedon Ranges’



“Bindi” is a family owned vineyard 50 kilometers north-west of Melbourne in the cool climate Macedon Rages. The vineyard comprises 6 hectares planted to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, divided into five separate blocks depending on vine age and soil type. The vineyards are littered with naturally occurring blocks of white rock, giving the name to their Quartz Chardonnay. Viticulture and winemaking are carried out with the minimal use of chemicals and biodynamic practices are employed. The vineyard was planted by Bill Dhillon and winemaking is now in the hands of his son Michael.

Walk around the Bindi vineyard, barrel tasting with Michael Dhillon followed by current vintages of Block 5 Pinot, Original Vineyard Pinot, Composition Pinot, Quartz Chardonnay and Composition Chardonnay.
